NOVUS HISTORY: In 2000, at just 22 years of age NOVUS'
founders Jeremy Denegar and Shamus Bowker realized the need for an IT
company that could provide superior, high-level service to business and
government.
Today, NOVUS has built a thriving
business on building, servicing and maintaining a wide range of
information systems. In the close-knit world of Vancouver Island
business and municipal governments, word has spread that NOVUS knows the
technological issues that local governments and businesses face.
To reinforce their mission of ‘Experience. Knowledge. Trust.’ every member of the team has Canadian
Information Centre Clearance. “Security clearance helps protect our

promoting and selling computer products, allowing us the freedom to

- CLEAR AND TRANSPARENT BILLING: In the IT Service industry, set or fixed pricing has the tendency to be non-transparent and is not reflective of the true cost of
building and maintaining your network or completing a project. Fixed pricing can have the
result of one client subsidizing the price for another client. Who wants to pay for time they didn't use? To ensure that our
clients are treated fairly and not over-charged, we offer fully-trained systems engineers at competitive
hourly rates and estimated per-project costing. We closely monitor our projects and the time spent as well as ensure that our clients are aware of the projected costs so there are no surprises. Our Our Client Care Records clearly define the 'hours worked' verses the 'billable time' so you can be well informed as to how much time was spent on your information systems. Clients are provided
with a 'Detailed Invoice Summary' which outlines the work that has
been done for the period captured via Client Care Records. For
convenience, we offer our clients a Client Service Agreement (CSA)
which guarantees a set amount of time per month at a reduced rate.
- COMPREHENSIVE DOCUMENTATION: Every time a
NOVUS Technician or Systems Engineer assists a client they digitally
document all of the work that has been done in a work log called a
Client Care Record (CCR). CCRs contain start and end times, location, and every detail of what was done so that we can always refer back to the information should we need to trouble shoot the same issue again. CCRs are a fantastic way to keep
everyone up-to-date and reduces orientation time, no doubt saving everyone time and money. In addition we keep all information about
client's systems in Systems Manuals which are
available for our clients to refer to 24/7 and can be provided in
hard copy at the client's request.

check, and we all have R.C.M.P. Canadian
Police Information Centre clearance. So, you can be assured that

Where did the NOVUS name come from?
When we were looking to find a name that represented us we opened up the
English dictionary and found nothing that quite fit the bill. Moving onto
other languages we found the Latin word 'Novus' and "Eureka!...
Definition:
NOVUS (latin) :novus -a -um new , fresh, young; revived, refreshed,
novel, unusual, extraordinary
...and the rest as they say is history.
What is the NOVUS logo?
1. The human figure reflects our clients and our team who are propelled
upward to a higher level with confidence by the dual arcs.
2. The dual arcs are references to the combination of our expertise,
training and
our guiding principles which together are the foundation of NOVUS.
